I charge by the hour £330 + the prevailing VAT (currently 20%)

The breakdown of the hours typically would be:-

• Consultation 1-1.5 hours
• Scrutiny of documents 2-3 hours per A4 ring binder
• Dictation and editing 2-6 hours

Thus a short straightforward report might be 3-4 hours and a complex one 8-10 hours.

If the report were likely to take longer I would inform the instructing party before proceeding wherever possible.
